This is what went through our backyard today.

I actually almost missed it. 
I knew that it was going through today and just happened to run downstairs and heard it.

Interesting to see.

I really enjoyed this traffic issue.
The Amish buggy waiting on the wagon train to pass.

It actually pulled off to wait.

And when the wagon train passed, the buggy fell in behind.

This is the view from my backyard the other way.
There is a horse show in the fairgrounds this weekend.

It's like living next to a campground. 

Wyatt is asleep, such a good little baby. 
He never did anything this evening, except smile and eat and sleep.
He never cries!

I did get painting done and hit a really good yard sale....pics tomorrow.
Right now I am hitting my bed.
I know that baby is good, but I am tired anyway!

Now, exactly, how COOL is THAT???!!! Wow!! I would love to see something like that - and in my own backyard no less! (Now, Girlfriend - you know you must have one of the most happening yards around - first a flock of flamingos, and now a wagon train???) The most interesting thing to come across our lawn lately was...ummmm....a herd of turkeys??? Enjoy your Sunday (and sleep!) Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Some of you asked for this. This is literally one of the EASIEST, most appreciated projects that I have ever made. I timed myself while I made this one and it was finished in under 1/2 hour and that included refilling bobbins, taking pictures, and searching the button box for two matching buttons. They are even faster if 1.) you don't do all of the above and 2.) you make them on an assembly line. Step 1. Cut a piece of fabric for the straps 4 inches wide by 14 or so inches long. If you have a very lightweight fabric, you can double it or use press on interfacing to back it. Step 2. Cut two coordinating rectangles approximately 12 to 15 inches by 15 to 18 inches. This is very loose, you can use vary the size of them. Pin those together on the bottom and halfway up the sides. Step 3. Press the 4 inch rectangle in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and sew around raw edges, then zig - zag the edge. If the fabric frays really bad, you can go over it again. Step 4

Sharpie Markers and Alcohol = Really Quick Art

What a fun, creative process!  Grab all those sharpies that are hidden in your desk drawer. Find that bottle of rubbing alcohol. (Vodka or hand  sanitize might work, you can always experiment) Dig out a canvas,  or go buy some,  nothing like having some blank canvases hanging around.  Draw some wild and crazy lines. Fast and not a lot of planning work best.  Hit it all with some alcohol.  Allow it to move and blend.  I use a brush for the alcohol,  You could use a spray bottle or eye dropper,  I just want a little more control on mine.  And re-outline with a black sharpie!   That's it!  Fast Art!  I will be teaching this next Friday along with two other  fun projects in Mayville, New York.  For more info go to: https://www.facebook.com/ARTRetreatatthelake
