Tolentreasures

Well, I finally took the step. It was a long time coming... Should I or Shouldn't I? Finally the opportunity was there, and I jumped. I hired a cleaning person. How nice is this? We have been working longer and longer days. Justification, right? We got home from work after 7:00 last night to find, ALL KINDS OF CLEAN! Everywhere you look... Clean! In the corners, Clean! underneath things, Clean! the microwave even! Clean Clean CLEAN! I am loving this! Well worth the $$$! This was like buying time! And this little girl had her first day of preschool yesterday. I must say that while I talked to her before she went. In the chaos of yesterday, I realized that I had not not called her after school to see how she likes it. Logan had his first day of preschool on Wednesday. He didn't hide his shoes again, and he actually liked it! On another note, my MIL was admitted to the hospital yesterday. Complications all connected to dialysis. Prayers gratefully accepted! In the middle of the work day, yesterday, I walked out. Couldn't take it any longer, it was sort of a mini-strike. "When I get an anonymous blog..." I will tell the story, but for now, the stress was too much. Normally I "go to water". Everyone knows it and really I guess they know where they could find me. There is a lake nearby and several nice peaceful streams. I have my spots. I would take pics and post them, but then someone might be able to find me. Again..."When I have an anonymous blog..." So I went shopping. Just to nearby Smicksburg. And I saw a picture with this quote. How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these. George Washington Carver I should have bought the picture right then! Or better yet.... I should have it tattooed to the back of my hand... or my forehea...

This is the mess on my sewing room floor. I would not have shown anyone this but hubby insisted that I take a picture and post it. I suppose that he thinks that messes like this would gain sympathy for him for putting up with my messes, but in truth...this is the results of him cleaning out his closet. We found someone to take all the good clothes and these are the t-shirts, jeans and sweatshirts. I am cutting, after wading in, all the t-shirts for t-shirt yarn and keeping the designs on a lot of them to make motorcycle blankets for the boys. Anyone with any pointers on how to make those blankets? Please let me know! I really am going to get it cleaned up! I finished these two projects this weekend and another that is a birthday gift for a friend. I will see her tomorrow to give it to her so I can post the pic after that. Have had this watering can sitting around forever. Another piece out of my painting room!
