Guess you can't start on them too early. Finally finished this milkcan. Some dark houses... and the deer heads are done! Well, at least the three that I had a deadline on. Hope to get the other one done this week. Pics of those tomorrow! Aren't you glad I warned you?

Milkcan, 18 and Stocking, 19

Finished this up yesterday AM. I am embarrassed to say that it has been sitting here for a year. A couple of coats of varnish and it is out of here also. And Gracelyn's Stocking. Two more of these to go. It still needs steamed. These are great justification for the "hoard". These were made without purchasing anything! Everything was found in my stash! Today begins some tense moments around my house. The new carpeting comes on Friday. But first... The family room needs re-arranged, The kitchen needs some adjustments to allow furniture to pass through, The dining room needs emptied, The living room needs emptied. The old carpet needs ripped up, The living room needs another coat of paint, all before Friday Morning and the kicker is... a man, that would be JWS, that hates upheaval of any type. I am searching for the medicine that the doctor gave me for flying... I'll just be slipping some of that in his morning coffee. Way less of a crime than I could commit when he ...

A Brave Move and other ramblings

In a very brave mood I am going to post my painting area of the house. I know that I read somewhere that creative people are messy....I must be the Queen then because I always have a disaster in my painting room. The projects for the challenge are all here, plus a few where the ADD kicked in and I got a whim and had to start them also. This is a little nook/loft outside our bedroom so no one really sees it too often other than us. I do a mad dash clean-up if I am having a group of people here and we are going to have to use the bathroom in our bedroom. (that also means that I have to clean that bathroom) I love this area though and when we built the addition on to our house, I knew exactly what I wanted and had this area added for me. When all the girls were here, it was my area to have peace and quiet, the loveseat was still there for small conversations, but it would not hold the whole "gang" Another almost finished project in the Procrastinator's Challenge.
