Moving Paint

Image
The last two days have been consumed with moving all this paint.    I closed one location and combined it all into the other.    I packed and moved one location in an hour and a half.    Carried the boxes out and loaded them in my van.   I must have been on some type of adrenaline rush because when I got home,  I could not lift the boxes!    I had to cut them almost in half to get them out of the van.    But this evening,  they are all in place!   Whew!    Now to pack all the remaining Christmas items in my booth!    Anybody have a new paint project?  I can ship!

Gun Cabinet Repurpose

What do you do with it?   In the case of this one, it was in our bedroom.   You see we did the responsible thing and bought a gun safe a few years ago and since JWS had built this in high school also a few years ago it did not seem right to get rid of it and since we did not have the foresight to actually put a linen closet in when we added on to the house... voila! Gun cabinet turned linen closet.    I had purchased this wallpaper also a few years ago at a yard sale because     well because I am a bit of a hoarder.     and splurged on some Annie Sloan chalk paint... instead of the normal mixing my own. This was the closest to a BEFORE picture.   Note that at this point we also did not have closet doors... but that's another blog post. (13 years we have not had closet doors! )   ...

And this picnic basket and the pink duck... Chalk painted, courtesy of  Decoart Americana Chalk Paints and on my front porch.  Honestly, I was going to throw the duck away,  it just happened to be in the lot with the pony planter that I wanted but figured I would try the chalk paint on it also.  This lap desk,  another chalk paint and Decoart stencils project is going to be the new home for my colored pencils.  And finally,  Gracelyn saw these peacocks and had to have them!   Also in that lot was that lovely tureen, jar, candy dish  behind it that I am not sure what to do with  but Papa had to buy them for her because "they would look so nice ...
