A Wonderful Swap!

Image
Sheila over at Seasons of Thy Heart sent this wonderful collection for me. We agreed to swap the centerpiece for some painted items. And she sent that cute little Halloween arrangement along extra and the pumpkin for me to create something also. I love everything! I have her painted items ready to mail. I am a little behind from fair week. They are going out today though. Stop by her blog and link to her selling blog, she has wonderful items! Thanks Sheila! I love it all! A few days before the fair, I was frantically painting picnic tables. A yearly event. This one appeared for me! What a surprise! I painted it, it sat at the fair all week. And now it resides on my deck! All the kids names are on it. Wonder when I am going to have to sand it and add another? Someone put a sticker on it. Not a happy moment! My whole house smells like dust. I never thought I would be glad to see so much rain coming, but I sure will be glad to get rid of the dust smell. And the Earthquake. I did...

Christmas in January!!

Wednesday night I came home to the biggest surprise! On my kitchen counter was the biggest box, all wrapped up in Christmas paper. It was on the porch, left by the mailman. To the credit of the USPS, the paper was not even ripped. Patti at Raspberry Lane Primitives sent these treasures to me! Wow! I just kept unwrapping and unwrapping. JWS kept saying, "Why did she send you all this stuff?" "A tavern board?" "Really?" "You got the better end of this deal!" (Clearly he puts no value at all on my painting.) But he was right about the better end of this deal. Patti wanted the tavern board that I painted for this tutorial . Always willing to barter and trade, I asked her to just do a swap with me for it. Wow! That was quite a swap! I love everything! Haven't found places for it all, other than some of the tarts went immediately into the tart burner. They smell so good! Since I have no intentions of undecorating just yet, (other than the...

Little of this, little of that

Thank you everyone for all the prayers for my Mom. She had her heart cath and everything went really well. They did not have to do a stint and they think that just a change in medication will solve her problems. Great news! A few more finished projects. I liked that last one and this person did not care what I did, so I made two more just like it. I have no idea why this picture is so blurry. Stopped at Claypoole's Fabric Store in Worthington on my way home from Ohio. That is where I bought the fabric for the boys' quilts and I didn't have enough left for the binding. Luckily they had the fabric left that I wanted for the binding. While I was there I found this. The boys are crazy for Tom and Jerry. Who would have thought that I could have found something with them on it. It was the last panel on the bolt. Another project before Christmas. A woman in my Mom's quilting group was passing these sample books out. Apparently she has 800 of them. Hmmm , a ki...
