In the event that you think, he is going to not be happy that she blogged this, I just want to say in advance that he told me I could tell the story. Last weekend, JWS and some of his buddies went to the races.  Good times. I went once with him, I can't tell you how thankful I am that he has buddies to go with. NHRA ranks right up there with gun raffles for me. Well, maybe not that bad. The food is better at the races. But anyway... This picture comes up in a text message. I look at it. My first thought? Who is this old man sending me a picture of himself? Wait!!!! That is none other than JWS himself. He is posed between two girls with abundant assets in Harley shirts. Really?  When did he get that old? Never mind all that cleavage that would explain the grin on this old man's face, double take back, he looks old! Not that we live on the prairie or up in the mountains or anything like that, but I don't get to town very often. "Town" is at least 12 miles away. There is the closest town that has a few stores, a Goodwill and a Chinese Restaurant.. 12 miles There is the next closest town, a Goodwill, a Chinese Restaurant and a Walmart, 17 miles Next is a Goodwill, a St Vincent de Paul, a Chinese Restaurant, a Walmart, and a couple of great junk stores. 22 miles And next...a Goodwill, a Walmart, several Chinese Restaurants, a Michael's, a JoAnn's, a couple of shoe stores AND a Verizon Store. 35 miles. So... Here is my conversation to JWS in the morning. "I am wearing jeans and comfortable shoes to church because I am leaving for town right after church" and then the dreaded question he asks me... "What are you going to town to get?" My answer, casually: "Oh, just a few things... Michaels to use my gift certificate, the shoe store for a pair of good sh...

NO pics today! If there was one it would be of the every three weeks hair coloring that I put myself through. Is it really a blessing to have healthy hair that grows so fast that I have a stripe of gray every 2 1/2 weeks? I try to perform this process when no one is around as it is not my most flattering look! The man that is staining our deck is to be here this morning and I am really hoping that I get this rinsed and back to normal before he shows up, I wouldn't want to scare him away on his first day! As a side note, we have always stained our deck ourselves, but there is no time to do that this year. I have always had a problem hiring anyone to do anything that I could do myself...this is a struggle! If only we could buy time...literally!
