Ok, so I am addicted!

Image
First of all, here is the princess in her sweater, it did not fit quite right, but I learned so much making it. Poor little thing, she is sick with a cold right now and the little boys are both sick also. Hope that all didn't happen at Grammie's house last Saturday night? I am totally, over the top, addicted to knitting! I found this book at the library and am reading it, nothing like adding a little knitting to your devotion time in the AM! Then I found this self-help for knitter's book in the craft section at the library...very helpful although is does not show you how to knit and run the sweeper or fold laundry. Maybe I should write that book....as soon as I figure out how to do it. This is my new item to feed the addiction, SOCKS!...or as in this case, SOCK! This has been another learning experience and while I have been working on it I am seeing striped socks and cable socks (not that I have a clue how to make a cable stitch) baby socks and hunting socks for the...

A centerpiece/doily, scarf, and The Sweater!

Image
This is the centerpiece/doily that was on my list to do. It is for on the princess' table in her toy room. I am framing some more of this quilt in a window frame for her also...another one off the list. And a scarf that I started when I was on my scarf and hat kick, but now that I have moved on from scarves and dishclothes...... to SWEATERS! Well just this one! This was my first attempt at anything like this and although there are some mistakes, I learned so much making this. Thank goodness for patient friends and YouTube! Who would have thought that you could learn knitting on YouTube. The only thing that I have ever looked at on that site was Harley Burnouts with my grandsons, they love them! I don't think that they will be happy switching to three needle bind offs, but then who knows? This is for the princess. I am sure that her mother will be glad that winter is almost over and that she won't have to wear it on her long! But watch out, another one might be c...

Nothing finished, but still working!

Image
These are two of the most labor-intensive, time consuming items that I have on my list of items that I want to get done before St. Patrick's Day. I have really been working on them the last few days. Everytime I sit down I try to get a few rows on one of the them, but..... I was at Michael's last evening and I bought the yarn and needles to make socks. That is my new project for Knitting Night this week. I know that I was not going to start anything else but I HAVE to have a project for Knitting Night and what if I get this sweater done before then and have nothing to knit? Always good to be prepared.
