Tolentreasures

  ...if you can make favors for a shower out of items in your house and not have to buy anything.   And, while you might think, "Yes, that is a hoarder."   You can add to it, this is the third shower that I have done that in the past two years. Around 120 favors and everything right in the house.   But really, you are not a hoarder if you can part with it, right?      

My half of the favors are FINISHED!  These were started about a week ago and I have 33 of them.  Mom is making the other half.  I passed her up on finishing them.  I made them on an assembly line and she is more precise and makes them one at a time. Thank goodness for my very short, long ago career in the sewing factory.  They things that you learn. Had to share these cuties with you.  They actually sat still enough for a picture all together.  How nice that was and sure beats the trauma and hives of taking them to a photographer.  It is me that has the trauma and hives...not them.  And the second week of boot camp starts tomorrow.  I have done something to my ankle.  Today will be spent on the recliner after church, resting and icing! Part of last night was spent cutting and this morning was cutting and pressing.  These are to be the favors for Dianna's baby shower.  Luckily, my Mom has agreed to help out and has about 30 cut and some sewn.  I have not counted what I have cut so far, just got tired of cutting and am now going to start sewing for awhile.  We think that we are going to need around 60 of them. This is the first one.  Actually somewhere along the last couple of weeks, I lost my change purse so the first one was mine. Thirty more to go. I found this table runner in Port Washington and knew immediately that it would make a birthday gift for a friend of mine.  Yesterday morning, I whipped it into this pillow for her.  The stitching on it was so pretty.  it always make me wonder about the person that made it. Well, I am off to sew.  One more day of work today and then the long holiday weekend!  I hope that everyone has a safe, fun holiday weekend and...
