Still some green stuff around my yard. Diligent watering. And this is what some of my impatiens look like.... And this is what others look like! Need to work on those a little bit today. And my day is ready. A fun list, with a cup of coffee. Big thing on the list? Catch up on all my blog friends!  What a great day this is going to be! And one last snippet from the week. Yesterday was hot, the hottest I think I have ever experienced. The temp on the bank sign said 112 degrees. It might read a little high, but I have never seen it that high. Of course, I had a cattle trailer to letter. We do vinyl signs and vehicle graphics along with screenprinting and embroidery. This was an off-site job. We have no place to put a cattle trailer and it was too hot to do it in the driveway. Metal, Sun, I would have baked, So... I go to the place the cattle trailer is parked. A sort of garage/barn. I don't take a ladder. Surely they will have a ladder or even a five gallon bucket I c...

Snippets of the Week

Image
This has been an ongoing project.  The bench needed painted. I had this idea to paint this old cooler for on it. There is a similar one on my front porch. It still needs a tag on it.  Maybe tomorrow. It's been a long week. This is always one of our busiest weeks of the year. Local festival. Last minute shirts. A few additional last minute jobs. Resulting in lots of overtime. Self employment overtime. Not the kind that you get paid time and a half for. The kind that people say "Thanks for getting our stuff done so fast" "The check will be in the mail [sometime]" Anyway, Added to that have been a few traumas. As usual. One is a little indelicate. I'll wait until last for that one. It may be a little offensive. But I have to share. We'll start with kid traumas. If someone is going to get hurt, injured or sick, it is going to be Logan. That child has had more emergency trips in his short life than I can count. Gasping for air, croupy emergency trips. I h...

Too Many People

Image
Those of you that follow along with me know that I walk in the mornings. Well, most mornings. Normal departure time... 5:20 AM Lots of bats, no people. My walking partner is on vacation this week. Sort of a staycation, so we are walking at 6:00AM. No bats. Today I came home and because of the later time, JWS was up and ready for work. JWS:  How did that go in this heat? Me: Fine, but I am not sure I like this later time. JWS: Why not? Me: TOO MANY PEOPLE! JWS: Really? ME:  I took the camera this morning, want to see my pictures? I download, I show him in a slide show. He comments how pretty they are. He looks at me and says. "Put those on your blog and say that there were too many people on your walk!" I re-examined the pictures. I guess he's right. There is this little section of population that we have to pass. And one or two more houses here. The railroad tracks. And then pretty much nature the rest of the way. This is beautiful every morning, but the mist ma...

Hoarding at it's finest and Can't commodes be any deeper?

Ok, I am going to start by thanking everyone that has signed up for the giveaway and your nice comments. If you haven't signed up yet, scroll on down to the next post and do so. There are only 10 NEW followers so if you sign up to follow the odds are in your favor! I will post the actual giveaway collections in a day or so... until then keep signing up! The first picture is of a chicken feeder given to me by a friend. Actually three of them, but who's counting, right? JWS, that's who. Although he liked this creation... now what to do with the other two. Hoard them, right? And these. Digging through...no wait, cleaning up junk at the fairgrounds, the other night, I ran into this stash of light bulbs. I just knew I could do something with them. Brought them home and washed them up. I think that I have heard similar stories on that Hoarders show. Right before JWS looks across the room and raises his eyebrows and says. "You are really just one bump on the head, just o...
