Channeling my inner fashionista this month, now I am ready to announce the showing of the   Spring Princess Collection.  Gracelyn would have been our model, but she would not take off the "Belle" dress. So you will have to view the showroom models.  Appearing first is our Spanish matador inspired ensemble. One day in church, a woman handed me a bag of material scraps from dresses that someone had made.  Not one to throw anything away, as most of you know, I hung on to those for a year or so and here they are transformed into our first item in our spring collection.   Our second fashion statement is made from material left over from the window sill cloths at the church and again, fabric that was donated to me. Hey Ma, remember back in the um, er, seventies when I thought I wanted to be a fashion designer? Remember all the schooling that you paid for? Remember how I never really used that schooling? Well, look at this finally! Thirty + years later and I still remember how to sew and I am using it. Not for a career, Not to make money, But I sure am having fun with it! And who knew I had this much fabric? Well, of course only me as I tend to hide my stashes as much as possible. But, now I am glad that I did hang on to all this fabric (and trims and lace and thread and ribbon and well you get the picture. I almost forgot where I had some of it stashed.) Under beds, in cupboards, in suitcases, and well let's just leave it at that. And this one is my favorite so far. I love this combination of colors. And now....I have to clean up my other upstairs.
