LInens and Lace

These aprons were a yard sale find. I finally managed to remember to buy some spray starch and press them all neatly. Well, as neatly as I press anyway.    Niagara Spray Starch, wow, the memories that smell brings back! My Mom should have bought stock in that company!     Anyway, they are finally all listed in my Etsy shop if anyone is interested!   Thanks everyone for stopping by there!   https://www.etsy.com/shop/tolentreasures     And some lace.   I happen to have a lot of this.   Auctions, flea markets and yard sales.    I cannot let a box of handwork go by. I think of how much work has gone into that and it is being sold for nothing!     Needless to say, I have drawers full of the stuff. These, I pulled out for my camper.   And.... speaking of that.... wait for it....   My camper was the feature of the week on ...

Flowers and Finds

Apple Blossoms on the neighbor's tree. Double Tulips that are exceptionally nice this year. And... I have been cleaning up at yard sales lately! I have even managed to add a few more items to my etsy shop. Stop on over if you have a chance. https://www.etsy.com/shop/tolentreasures?ref=search_shop_redirect   I am trying to add new items daily.   Canister set, that I have not decided if I am keeping it or not. The cake carrier to match. Vintage recipe box. I might just paint this. And these owls!  25 cents!    They promptly went on the wall in the camper  to cover a place that that trim was missing!   Stop on over, EllieJ is shaping up!   http://restoringavintagecamper.blogspot.com/2013/05/more-decor.html

Etsy, Ebay or Selling Blog?

Does anyone have any opinions on what to do? I used to sell on Ebay and had a not bad run with it...but the run ended and fees went up and it didn't seem to be worth the hassle. I had a short, very short little run with Etsy and didn't seem to have anyone even look. Never tried the selling blog. The items are piling up in the attic, they are done, they are ready for good homes. Now I am thinking again. If you have one or the other and you post your link in the comment, I will feature them in a post.

Took the leap!

In the middle of all the things that I needed/wanted to get done, there was this huge procrastination with all the painted items that are in my basement that have no home. Technically they are only "renting" the space in my basement and one of the "landlords" of the house (that would be my husband) is getting real tired of the clutter in the basement. One man's junk....you know the saying! I used to sell online at another venue and the prices and fees kept going up and finally I decided that it just was not worth it. After discovering Etsy, I kept it in the back of my mind for quite some time. After beginning to blog...I realized how many of you have Etsy shops and kept thinking that might be a creative outlet for all the "renters' in the basement. So here goes....another item off my procrastinator's list! If any of you experienced Etsy users have ANY advice, I would gladly accept any or all hints, tips, anything! Now off to list some more! ...
