More finished projects and the SOCK!

My very first SOCK! When I started to try to learn to knit at the first of the year, I never would have thought I would have made it to socks this fast. I am racing on to the match for it now! When I was in the Dominican in January we had to go to Santo Domingo one day and made a brief stop in the Colonial Zone. It is a fun place of gift shops and so much history. I found these amber bead/drops in a little gift shop and brought them home with the idea of making gifts with them. This is the first one that I have finished.
This scarf was found in the attic partially finished, finished it up yesterday and it is going in the donation bin. Sure hope that I find a home for these before next winter.

This was an experiment in penny rugs. I wondered how ovals would work instead of circles. It is my mug rug now.

Not a hard project to finish, this had been painted and in the stash for over a year. I finally just dug it out and put the wire on it and put it on the front door of my newly cleaned porch!

Another stash find, I thought this would be cute for the princess' toy room.

This takes a few more items off my list, wonder what I can get done today?

Congratulation on the sock!! I am so scared to do anything non flat... I probably could if I just tried, but I am very comfortable with FLAT!

and you are just getting projects done right and left..... !!! isn't it strange how we leave some projects that just need a wire to hang??? LOL!!

You go girl!!

Have a great Sunday : )

Hi Cathy,

Found your blog a month or so ago but never took time to post a note. Thought it was past time for me say "hi neighbor"...I have been amazed at all the projects you are able to accomplish! I just love the little cow in this post--adorable. All the recent projects you have done for the kids are wonderful.

Happy Sunday...Bev
Wow...you have just been a crafting 'machine'. I love checking in to see what you have accomplished next! Take care ~Natalie
I love the sock...congrats on completing it:)

You sure have been busy:)

PS I wanted to ask if you would like some DMC thread for the sewing donations, I have some that I'll never use, I've also still been checking out the GW for sewing things but so far no luck.

How clever of you! I don't think I've ever seen an oval penny rug before! I think you've invented something!

Your socks are great! I have a friend who is a knitter and she has some special needles that allow her to make both socks at the same time. That way they always turn out to be the same size! Brilliant, huh?

Wow! Socks in less than a year's time! Quite impressive, I must say. I'm not a knitter but have a few friends that are and I think that is quite an accomplishment. Congrats, Cathy! I love your other completed projects, also. You are making great progress on that "to do" list of yours...

Hi Cathy.
Wow! You have been busy!
The sock looks great. I am so amazed at how knitters seem to learn how to knit one month and then start knitting socks and sweaters the next. I also like your other projects but I especially like the bead necklace. One of these days that is something I plan on trying. It's on my "to do" list.
Thanks for sharing.
Have a great week.

Oh my Cathy....I don't know whether to apologize for exposing you to my sock knitting addiction, or say Yay! The sock looks great, the sweater will fit in a month or so. Better than being too small. She is a cutie in it.
