Words that strike terror!

It happened, I knew it would! He tolerated my sickness, he built walls with pillows between us in the bed, he sprayed, he told me that I was sick because I don't eat right, I don't take care of myself, I forget my vitamins, I don't get enough sleep. He told me that he was the picture of health, he exercises, he takes vitamins, he gets enough sleep, he eats right, he takes care of himself. And then...
Mark the time...
4:30 AM this morning and the words that struck terror.
"WHERE IS THE VICKS?"
OH MY GOSH, NO!!! ANYTHING BUT THAT, PLEASE DON'T LET HIM BE SICK!

And he is. He has a cold, despite the healthy food, despite the intense amounts of vitamins, sleep and exercise, he is sick.
Well at least it justifies my haphazard approach to my health.

So this morning, since I was awake from finding the Vicks, my sewing room was a disaster, it has been that way for awhile and getting worse. I don't mind the chaos, but this was bordering on the hoarder syndromes that I see on TV. I took pics, thinking I would post before and after, but they were just too incriminating.
You see, I decided to cut up all these scraps, but first they needed ironed. This project has been going on for over two months. I finished it up today. These are my 1 1/4 inch strips for locker hooking. And this container holds 6 inch, 5 inch, 4 inch and 2 inch blocks. It also holds 2 1/2 inch strips and 2 inch strips all ready for scrappy quilt tops. Huge job that I am glad is done.

Finished some more of these flowers.

And more progress on the I Spy quilt tonight.

Off to build a pillow wall in the bed and take some more vitamins, just in case the bug that he has is not the same one that I am finally getting over.
Hope that everyone has a great Sunday.

Thanks for the reminder. I need to get my locker hooking bag out and finish that rug I started. Love, love, love the I Spy quilt. I have never seen that before. Clever, clever!

Get well over there!

Almost want to go Na Na Na Na Na Na! But because you love him you, won't you'll just keep the vicks flowing! Great job on the craft room, maybe hide out there until summer!

It is so much worse when they have a cold....hang in there...in 10 days he will be all better. Dianntha
I've managed to get through the entire winter season without getting sick which is HIGHLY unusual. Your post makes me want to go wash my hands and sanitize my screen!
Hope he feels better soon...and that you don't catch back what he has!

Goodness you write such fun posts and I always enjoy coming here.

Aren't men funny...sometimes I think they think they are invencible...NOT! Even they succumb to the germs no matter what they do.

STAY WELL KIDDO.
