De-Apple-ization almost completed & Project 5

After

These were project #5.
I sprayed the apple plates with black spray paint,
then painted the centers with chalkboard paint,
the color and checkers on the edges.
I can change the message to suit my mood,
or occasion.
I am painting a shelf for under these right now.

I am painting above the door right now,
took a break for lunch and blog update.

After above,
Before below.
I can't get rid of the picture.
I brought that home from the Dominican Republic, on the canvas frame,
on one of my mission trips.
It was rather large!

Too many memories in getting it and the trip to get rid of it.
I am looking for something different on this wall.
I would love to have a long narrow open hutch someday
and get rid of the corner hutch,
but for now, it will have to stay like this.

Before

I have a couple of more things that I am painting for in here and
a large penny rug for the table that I am working on.

So for now, the apples are almost gone!

Oh....I'm loving this!! Boy - you don't do ANYTHING in a small way do you?! Lots of apples, and now, lots of gone....Can't wait to see the finished door painting! Stay calm and De-apple! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin (Whenever you say de-apple, I think of how I once, many years ago, ALMOST did my kitchen in cherries....I don't wanna think of the "un-process" for that.... ;o) )

Loving it all!! My mother went into the hospital for we don't know how long, so my projects to complete are temporarily on hold. I'll enjoy seeing your changes!
It's fun to change it all up, isn't it? You are doing a great job! I like that large painting...I had a wonderful painting my MIL lent to me in the last house we lived in...it was a presence and I rather liked how it dominated the room. Have fun!!
