A Blank Page

Yesterday our pastor
had a blank page in the bulletin.
His message revolved around a blank page.
It started with
giving someone a blank page,
Forgiveness.
He had scripture,
I always think of this quote.
I have it in calligraphy somewhere in a pile
waiting to be framed
(along with a bunch of other unfinished projects)

To forgive is to set a prisoner free,
and to realize
that the prisoner was me.
Corrie Ten Boom

While I can't always quote scripture,
this quote always sticks with me.
It has been useful over the years.

His sermon went on,
mine isn't.

So much emphasis is put on a New Year,
Resolutions
Good Intentions
Big Plans
Why?

God's blessings are new every morning.

I am wishing you a year
of
"new every morning"
Blessings!

Happy New Year!
