Dollhouse update

It has been awhile since I have shown the updates on the
Dollhouse Project.
I received a very nice bag of goodies one day
for it! 
Thank you, Bonnie!
A couch was one thing that I "needed".
Living room, almost done.



Don't you just love this frame? 
It was a picture frame from Michaels
and
the mini map
I found on some scrapbook paper.
Perfect fit.



The bathroom tile is ready for some grout.
I need fixtures for that yet.
I found a set at a hobby shop,
wasn't ready to take that $plunge$.
Besides, I don't think that they offer
home remodeling loans on dollhouses. 

Kitchen is almost complete.
It is a little messy,
It had had some little fingers in there cooking.
Looking for a stove for it.



The light fixture in the bedroom.
Two wood disks,
a shank button with the shank removed
and some beads.
Mini canvas artwork
on the walls,
still looking for a bed! 

And how about the kitchen light?
A jar lid,
a percolator top
and
some jute!
 
Still having fun with this!

In December, I had the opportunity to travel to West Bengal, India on a mission trip with my church. Six of us made the trip to care for the children of mission workers who would be attending a conference there.   The last full day that we were there we went to a school in a nearby village and met Samuel who runs the school there.  He is a converted Hindu and teaches Hindu children a Christian based curriculum in English.   His school has been very successful because of the high quality of education he is providing.   This allows him to present the gospel to children and their parents often.  The problem?  He has more students than classroom space.  And three swings for over 200 children!  Such well behaved children! Walker/Wheelchair Bag Tutorial

Some of you asked for this. This is literally one of the EASIEST, most appreciated projects that I have ever made. I timed myself while I made this one and it was finished in under 1/2 hour and that included refilling bobbins, taking pictures, and searching the button box for two matching buttons. They are even faster if 1.) you don't do all of the above and 2.) you make them on an assembly line. Step 1. Cut a piece of fabric for the straps 4 inches wide by 14 or so inches long. If you have a very lightweight fabric, you can double it or use press on interfacing to back it. Step 2. Cut two coordinating rectangles approximately 12 to 15 inches by 15 to 18 inches. This is very loose, you can use vary the size of them. Pin those together on the bottom and halfway up the sides. Step 3. Press the 4 inch rectangle in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and sew around raw edges, then zig - zag the edge. If the fabric frays really bad, you can go over it again. Step 4...

Rolling Bunnies Giveaway

Wow, I am not even sure where the weekend went or if I got anything accomplished, but here is is Monday morning again and back to another work week. I have been on a bunny kick, painting and sewing the little buggers, and in true bunny fashion... they are multiplying!  So I am offering this collection for a giveaway.
