That's all we were going for..

Dayton Fair Gun Raffle, 
someone 
wanted
half and half. 

You figure it out. 
Saturday morning
Yard Sales
Two Women
One large pick-up truck waiting to be filled
and...
Fill it we did! 
With TREASURES! 

How could you possibly leave these items behind?

But the best piece...

This bed. 

It is already on sawhorses
in the garage
with the first coat of white paint on it! 
My Car
Sitting out in the rain. 

Hey, it needed a bath! 

We did get the half and half.
Regular and Amaretto, 
and 
a dozen doughnuts 
for good measure!

Cathy...sometimes it doesn't matter what type of vehicle you take. You have to make a trip back to TWO places with the truck to get what wouldn't fit in your car! Nothing stops a girl that's motivated to find treasures! Isn't it fun? I have to find some time to get down to your space in Tarentum and ck the place out. Smiles...Bev

Some of you asked for this. This is literally one of the EASIEST, most appreciated projects that I have ever made. I timed myself while I made this one and it was finished in under 1/2 hour and that included refilling bobbins, taking pictures, and searching the button box for two matching buttons. They are even faster if 1.) you don't do all of the above and 2.) you make them on an assembly line. Step 1. Cut a piece of fabric for the straps 4 inches wide by 14 or so inches long. If you have a very lightweight fabric, you can double it or use press on interfacing to back it. Step 2. Cut two coordinating rectangles approximately 12 to 15 inches by 15 to 18 inches. This is very loose, you can use vary the size of them. Pin those together on the bottom and halfway up the sides. Step 3. Press the 4 inch rectangle in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and sew around raw edges, then zig - zag the edge. If the fabric frays really bad, you can go over it again. Step 4

Sharpie Markers and Alcohol = Really Quick Art

What a fun, creative process!  Grab all those sharpies that are hidden in your desk drawer. Find that bottle of rubbing alcohol. (Vodka or hand  sanitize might work, you can always experiment) Dig out a canvas,  or go buy some,  nothing like having some blank canvases hanging around.  Draw some wild and crazy lines. Fast and not a lot of planning work best.  Hit it all with some alcohol.  Allow it to move and blend.  I use a brush for the alcohol,  You could use a spray bottle or eye dropper,  I just want a little more control on mine.  And re-outline with a black sharpie!   That's it!  Fast Art!  I will be teaching this next Friday along with two other  fun projects in Mayville, New York.  For more info go to: https://www.facebook.com/ARTRetreatatthelake
