A Day with Kendall

Image
Once a week, I try to keep Kendall for the day. It doesn't work every week, but I try. They are not all like this. She is very active. Payback. She is her mother's daughter.  Sacked out on the couch, she does manage to nap.  She comes to work with me or I would nap with her. Some days I need it!  And Papa thought she needed this really big lollipop when she woke up. Where did he find that? and What else does he have hidden in his desk drawers? See that painting in the background? Tyler + Basketball = Clamps and Glue It quickly went bad. Shelby had teacher conferences last night so I took Kendall home and got her ready for bed. She was sound asleep by the time Shelby got home. If I could figure out how to load videos, you would see the action. Finally, ready for bed, I resorted to my phone. She loved the piano app!                          ...

Some organizing and a really smart phone

Obviously, I am going to show you the better picture first. Organization is not my strong point. That is sugar coating it. I suck at neatness. I thrive in chaos! Really. But...  This was even bothering me. See why I showed you the "organized" one first. I am sure that JWS has Hoarders Anonymous on speed dial on his phone. We watch the show. He says that I am one bump on the head away from being one of those crazy people. And now, on to the smart phone. Remember this post. I fought the phone kicking and screaming. Now... I LOVE IT!  What did I ever do without it? Oh, I still don't have cell phone service where I live. I keep hoping. But, This phone does EVERYTHING! It is my alarm clock and sound machine.   It is now my GPS Ipod Calculator Camera Video Camera Calendar Weather News Flashlight..yes it even has a flashlight. I can play games check my email and entertain grandchildren, although... It took me three days and a tech support call to Shawnee to figure out...

An afternoon with the boys.

They were at work with us, they were a little "antsy" I mentioned that if they cleaned up... I would take them home for the afternoon.... It started like this. Two little angels loving my phone and the bowling app. Don't they look innocent and well-behaved?   And then... This happened. See the little one still calmly sitting there playing with my phone?   See the mess increasing and the little one still is entertained quietly...   Even as the fun amps up...he is still calm.   Still being the perfect child.   Like that was going to last.   NOT!!!   And then it escalated. Plastic candy cane sword fighting.   And the words of the day when they went to my sewing room to get the candy canes. Tyler takes a look at my sewing room, which I am trying to clean and reorganize and says, 'What is this mess?" and then "You better get this cleaned up before Mommy sees this" I ask why. To which he replies, "My mom hates messes, she REALLY...
