Bunnies, Rugs and Lizard Girl

Image
What a weekend! It went this way and that way and basically provided me with blog material for the week. So, we will start with bunnies. Managed to get a few of those painted. Finished this one from Wednesday night painting. And some little magnets for the Spring Section of the Open House The hoarder in me says keep these tubes. But the Reduce the Hoard person says pitch them. They are heavy, but what to do with them? and where to store them?   Skip on down to see what they are from.     Saturday morning was GET ALL THESE T-SHIIRTS CUT UP AND OFF THE SEWING ROOM FLOOR morning! And while I was there (in the sewing room, that is )       I found this box of macrame cord, left from my aunt's craft stash. One rug finished and one rug almost finished.   Another almost empty box!     That looks really crooked...it is just the way it is l...

More giveaway items and ANOTHER bunny.

Image
Just can't quit painting these bunnies. This one will be added to my selling blog.  The door is not as large as some of the ones that I paint so the shipping would not be as high. It is not often that you will see baked items on my blog. The kitchen is not my favorite place to be. These were so easy though.  The recipe was on Hungry Girl on one of the cooking channels, but I have been told it is a Weight Watcher's recipe also. A chocolate cake mix and a can of pumpkin...I added the slivered almonds. So easy, low fat and low calorie. What a treat!   And these items will be added to the giveaway. Over 50 comments! To sign up, click on this picture.. or the link on my sidebar. The drawing will be on Saturday. Just a quick glimpse of yesterday morning. Mondays, should they start like this? High winds, Tree down on the neighbor's shed. We think it was a mini tornado... Off to work, Measure a tractor trailer for decals, Deliver 500 hats in my little vehicle, Artwork for...

A Commercial for Dyson

Image
So, they have not asked me to do this commercial, and just for the record, I am not getting paid for the endorsement. But, that being said, I so often complain about things that happen that I need to give due time to GOOD things that happen. Let me start by saying that I am certainly qualified to compare sweepers. I have had almost every brand in my thirty something years of adult vacuuming life. . And I have also pretty much annihilated every other brand. At least 15 or so of them that I can count. To be fair, I am not careful with a sweeper. They are pretty much treated like shop vacs at my house. So, Two and one half years ago I bought a Dyson. The Animal. I don't have animals, but it was the biggest and the best and the most $$$.  It had better be good. I cost more than several of the cars I have driven in my life.   I was sitting in Best Buy on the floor trying to tear it apart when the sales associate approached asking very nicely what I thought I was doing. "O...

Snow Friends, Sore Legs and a Spanish Woman in our Bedroom

Image
I bet that you are really wondering about that title. Well, hang on, you have to hear some other stories first. The boys were at work, they were restless, they wanted to play in the snow. Always ready to take off work early, I volunteered of course! Don't they look cute with their snowmen we built? And a pic of the three snowmen builders together.   And one picture of us trying to roll the biggest snowball ever! Well, at least I was trying to roll the biggest snowball ever. That is Logan laying on the ground making one of the 35 or so snow angels that he made and Tyler forming yet another snowball to pound me with. But before all that... We went sled riding. Up and down this huge hill over and over. Pulling tired little boys UP the hill on the sled.  The best moment of the day.  Walking back up the hill, holding my hand, Logan says. "This time all three kids ride." I ask who the three kids are? He responds,  "Gramma, Tyler and Logan!"   Now I h...

A whole week!

Where did it go? It is Little League Season. We have a screenprinting and embroidery business and there are three seasons that we know we are going to be extremely busy. They are Little League season, the two weeks before our local fair, Dayton Fair Season and of course, Christmas. Little League Season is in full force and with John, the ever present voice of reason and customer relations expert, gone two to three days a week now, it has added to my job description at work. So far, so good, I am keeping my head above water. I am really enjoying whatever painting time that I am getting. I had three of these in the stash, one already painted and finished this one this week. Anyone know what they are? I do, just testing. Found these bunnies in the last issue of Quick and Easy Painting and they are so much fun to paint. They are a Monika Brint pattern and truly are quick and easy. This is the top of the box and another plaque that I painted. I tried antiquing the plaque at S...
