Good Smell, Bad Smell, Death and Decay Smell

Image
Lovely picture, right?  Let me tell you,  they smell wonderful! They grow wild along the road around here.  People have told me that they are called  Russian Olives.  I have high hopes that they will root and I can plant them somewhere in the yard.  Anyway,  those of you that follow along know that there are stories  here that are  a bit bizarre.  As many as there are that I tell... there are many more that I choose to keep under wraps.  This one probably should be.. but too funny, weird, well words might not describe this incident.  A couple of weeks ago a friend brought more of those deer skulls for me to paint.  I put them in my car.  Also, right around that time,  we got a load of ground beef.  (This will be important later in the story) Later the same deer head day, I opened my car door to the smell of death and decay. Apparently the deer head...

Some weeks...

just defy logic and explanation. And this was one of them. I would love to relate it to you and let you laugh at/with me. but much of it cannot be blogged. Someday, maybe, when I write my first novel. I'll have that little disclaimer in the front that says that all of the events are fictional, and all of you faithful readers will know that is not true. It is real, the names have been changed to protect the innocent. Or maybe the names won't be changed, I'll be gone, who will care?  and they can't sue me then. But wait... I am out of Barbeque potato chips and need to run for more. Comfort food. It has been a long week. And... I lost 2.5 pounds at the weigh in this morning. Chips are my treat!   Ok, chips refilled. I had a really rough week. I can't tell you it all. Here is a brief glimpse into it. On Wednesday, I had a really drunk customer that started three stories with these sentences. 1. That last time I got throwed in jail..... and 2. I know that woman that...

Hoarder? Me?

Sometimes it just takes the smallest items or incident to make you realize that you might have a problem. For me it was not when I took pictures of my sewing room and then could not post them lest everyone out there in Blogland think that I am a crazy hoarder, or even when my husband ever so gently mentioned that I needed to clean the basement or worse yet when my daughters told me that they were wishing me to die of a slowly progressing terminal illness instead of a sudden death because that way I would have time to get rid of all my treasures and they would not have to do it. Please also note that they did not say the word TREASURES, I had to correct their language and change their description to a more acceptable word. It was not even when watching those hoarder shows that I sometimes feel such a kinship to those people or when my dear husband suggested that I am just a minor trauma or a light bump on the head away from becoming one of them. No, it was not any of those things.......
